Because there are great farmers there who are doing a fabulous thing by providing locally grown produce for us to enjoy!
The food is local and supports small farmers. I like to spend my money where it is truly appreciated.

I think it is vital to support local farmers and eat raw vegetables. The West Reading Farmers Market accomplishes both of these goals.
Because the Farmer's Market is a perfect way to love the mantra: think globally but eat locally! The local farmer's market is a great way to eat healthy food, save on petro dollars, support the local farmers, and help the environment.
The food is local, very fresh and tasty. The variety is great, and it's fun to shop there on a Sunday morning after breakfast at the West Reading Diner.
It has great produce, friendly producer many other shops on Penn Avenue stay open on Sunday as well. Nice Sunday activity

Because I KNOW that all of the produce and meat is totally local!! It is in a cool little town, and is is only 2 miles from me. All of the "vendors" are so nice and share info w/me. it is really a great place to be on a Sunday morning.

The West Reading Farmers Market is filled with yummy homegrown and homemade foods, great music, laughter and is just an all around wonderful place to bring our whole family.
Real food from real people. My money stays in the local economy. My family loves following the produce season from earliest spring to root veggies for the cellar, all from local farms and orchards.
My daughter and I love walking down the street buying all her favorite veggie, fruit and doggie treats.
It's a swesome place to buy your fresh veggies and it is cheap!

I can ride my bike down to the market, buy some very yummy produce from very friendly folks and then have breakfast. It's a great Sunday morning tradition.
it's all local and the vendors are very informative about what they sell. it's nice thing to do on a sunday morning and it also supports the (few) businesses that stay open. plus it's dog-friendly!
They always have a good supply of fresh fruits, vegetables and cheese. Friendly Vendors too

The West Reading Farmer's Market has brought life, joy and awareness to our community. The customer's come out rain or shine to support the farmer's. We needed this desperately in our area.
Fresh produce sold directly to you by the farmers who grew it, without corporate interference. Capitalism the way it is supposed to be!
The West Reading Farmers' Market rocks!! This is the ONLY producer only market in the area, and the farmers (and produce) are the freshest around!

West Reading Farmers Market was the first of its kind in suburban Reading area. Each vendor has an assortment of local, nutritious produce or goods that encourage local farming and local shopping. The location is just right and encourages shopping at nearby shops. It'a an all around winning venture.

Being able to go and meet the people who are acutally growing my food is a big plus. Also, better to support the local economy than big factor farms and it is convenient for me to get to.
You can not beat the produce and baked goods. Supporting local farmers helps the local economy. What can be better then fruits and vegatables pick the same day as you are buying them
How can you beat food that comes right from the farm to you? The food you buy at the West Reading Market is fresh and delicious--so much better tasting and better for you than "cardboard" produce from the grocery store that's been picked green and ripened in transit. And, visiting the West Reading Farmers Market supports our local economy. The food is not mass produced on a corporate-owned megafarm thousands of miles from home. You buy right from the person who grows or prepares your food. Dare to be different--cancel the trip to the mall and visit West Reading instead--free off-street parking, a variety of shops and places to eat, and a Sunday morning farners market as well!!!

I love the West Reading Farmers Market for more reasons than they have vegetables! It supports local farmers, including small organic farms. It builds connections within the community--for example, by selling local produce directly to local restaurants. It enhances the authentic charm of a small, friendly, walkable neighborhood that is blooming with many new shops and restaurants. And it's a real joy to come out on Sunday morning to meet friends old and new along Penn Ave. Life is good in West Reading.
It is a young and growing market. The people there are committed to growing sustainable, and organic produce, and I think their earnestness should be commended.

Buying fresh from our local farmers gives me a sense of connection with those who grow the food I provide for my family. Shopping locally is a great way to support one of my favorite neighborhoods - West Reading. The addition of the farmer's market made it even better.
It's convenient and in a cool walkable downtown, where there's a lot to do before and after shopping at the varied market stands.

We love West Reading Farmers Market because it is convenient, healthy and a good environmental choice. We shop for all our produce a block from our home and get lots of goodies while we are there! Everyone is friendly and it is a weekly event for us!

It is the most complete farmers market I've ever been to across the US.Every stand is unique and people friendly. Everything is Fresh: fish to freshest of nuts ; fruits and veggies,baked goods and the broasted chicken to die for. The prepared food section has delicious food...giving the local restaurants a run for their money. I moved 5 years ago and still wish I could come to market every Friday and Saturday

The West Reading Farmer's Market is small but full of quality; it not only supports and promotes local growers and artisans (cheese and bread makers, among others), but boosts the neighborhood in which it takes place, too. AND it's open on Sundays! We LOVE it!
