I look forward to the McKinney Farmer's market each week. It's the best way to start my Saturdays. I love that the farmers are all local with the majority of the produce all locally farmed. It brings the community together in a genuine way. The live music and fresh coffee add a wonderful touch!

Terrific atmosphere under the trees among the buildings of our historic village. It's almost like going back in time, except early McKinney settlers didn't have the gourmet options we have. Great variety, friendly people, it's the perfect Saturday morning outing.

The Historic Downtown McKinney Farmers' Market provides high quality "locally grown" produce, dairy products, meat and poultry that my family depends on. There is a closer market but it's not nearly as good. The people at McKinney market are knowledgeable, helpful, and fun. My vote goes to McKinney!

I have lived in mckinney all 23 years of my life and I am now married and my husband serves in the navy so we travel alot. When we come home though I always go back to downtown mckinney and on Saturdays my mother & I get up and head to the farmers market! I have lived in 4 different states now and not one had a market like the mckinney one! It's home in mckinney, tx and I will always keep coming back!

Having the farmer's market in the historical Chestnut Square you have a feeling of what it was like to purchase your produce, meat, and gifts when the square was first build. If you eat your veggies, you will be strong and fit. But who cares about that?! This is Texas, dad-gummit. I care about sticky buns, dog treats, bacon-wrapped dates, sweet salsa, hot salsa, homemade pasta noodles, mmm mmm delicious. Mckinney Farmers market is right up my alley. (But if you go, watch out, there are a LOT of vegetables)

I think McKinney residents and business owners are trying extremely hard to preserve downtown McKinney. I believe they are doing an awful lot for McKinney with little, if any help from the city fathers. We have some very determined people doing the best they can and they deserve support from their community.

Just to mention a few; Cafe Malaga, peach/jalapeno jelly (to die for), fresh dried pasta, best dips and salsas, Layla dairy products (best yogurt), herbs, fresh produce, olive oil (the best of the best), and many many more. Great articrafts as well. Thumbs up to Cindy Johnson!

The McKinney Farmers Market offers residents of North Texas fresh, organic produce - all grown with in a few miles of the market itself. There is also outstanding meat and eggs (grass fed/free range) from Rehoboth Farms - available with a healthy does of cooking tips from owner, Robert Hutchins. Hand made soaps, jewelry, pasta, local olive oil, puppy treats, breakfast from Cafe Malaga's booth, live music - so much to see and do. It's a wonderful place to spend a Saturday morning.

McKinney's Farmers' Market at Chestnut Square is the best I have seen in 30 years! The venue is interesting, enjoyable, easy to navigate on foot, and feels like a small village where people gather to buy and trade farm fresh food. Unlike some venues where you walk on asphalt or concrete, which can feel like a warehouse or flea market, Chestnut Square offers a historic, delightful experience for all of your senses, especially when a dutch oven cooking demonstration creates a mulitude of delicious fresh cooked food smells with a selection of today's market vegetables, meats, and fresh eggs.

It keeps the small town atmosphere in a setting that is most befitting. Mc Kinney has grown so rapidily that we forget sometimes what a small town it started out as being. With so many modern stores replacing the old time ones the farmers market brings back the best. Too bad that it ends in October, just to let us forget about all of the stress on the outside.

I like this location much better then right off the square. First of all, Chestnut Square is very special to my family and exposer the market gives to the history of Mckinney. When I tell people my daughter volunteers at Chestnut Sqaure, many have no idea where or what I am referring to!!!! Go Mckinney!

In addition, we can also shop for organic vegetables and fruits, which is healthier.

Not only is it located in the of historic McKinney, but the vendors always have such wonderful produce and crafters with some really great inexpensive products! My favorite vendors is Belle Serelle and Layla Farms Dairy (drinkable yogurt and the Jalepeno cheese are delicious!!)

It's a great location with TONS of shade and space for visitors! It's a history lesson and fresh produce all wrapped into one. Not to mention - you can help benefit local farmers as well as a local program for McKinney!

In addition to wonderful produce, herbs and even gourmet dog biscuits, there is a old time general store and tours of the historic buildings....great time for everyone! Live music and trolley rides too.

The setting is phenominal and the people are real. The venue is the best I have ever experienced and the quality of the product is unbelieveable. There is entertainment and a historic setting in which to relax and enjoy a step back in time.

The produce and the people are great, but to attend a Famer's Market in a beautiful historic district is the best. Those of us fortunate enough to live in McKinney have an opportunity to support the Historic District and the Farmer's Market and local farmer's at the same time.

It's nice to have a local Farmer's Market in the great historic area with a fresh and organic selcection of local grown products. If it was not local I would be able to travel to Dallas or out of area.

Love the historic district - great setting for the fresh selection of locally grown produce. Much easier to get to than going all the way to Dallas as well!
