We love the Bellingham Farmers Market because of the gorgeous arrays of farm-fresh fruit and vegetables, cut flowers, as well as potted herbs, shrubs, perennials and vegetables. There is also delicious local wild salmon available cooked on a bun or smoked and packaged to take home. Ethnic cuisine abounds for a quick lunch, French crepes or Indian, Greek or Ethiopian dishes to tempt and tickle your taste buds. Fresh baked biscotti or Mallard ice-cream for dessert and Java Joe's espressos or cappuccinos to while away a restful pause during shopping for all that wonderful fresh food. Last, but by now means least, the great people who dedicate their working lives to providing safely produced, organic produce for the enthusiastic crowds who flock to the Bellingham Farmers Market every Saturday, it is a happenin' place with musicians, baloon twisters, and crafts people adding to the colour and sound of Spring, Summer and early Fall Saturdays in Belingham. The growers make the market what it is, and I thank all of them for their hard work.
