I live in Riverside of Jacksonville, it is quit possibly the best location for a market. Under one of our seven bridges, constantly shaded and protected from the weather, plus it's right on the river. A great view of our skyline. Great mix of produce and the arts!

It's got a fantastic location on the river, which keeps it cooler on those hot summer days. It's also got a fantastic collection of vendors. I can go shopping for my dinner party and get most of what I need right there. The artists' booths are great to see (and buy from). There are lots and they change.

Fresh, local, seasonal organic produce...fresh baked breads and pastries...native Florida herbs, flowers, and other plants....locally roasted coffee beans...art and music from up and coming local artists and musicians...dog friendly...plenty of bicycle racks and even a bike valet...cool breezes off the St. John's River to offset the hot and humid Florida summers...what's not to love?

It is an ingenius use of a previously vacant section of downtown, which usually does not draw people to it on the weekends. They make everyone feel welcome and Safe. Every city should and can have one of these !!! Great Job to All !!!

RAM is at the perfect and best location since it's front of St. Johns River and is accessible to the riverwalk - very nice walk path for people to walk, bike, or run before, during, or after RAM. Also the RAM's under the bridge - give us a good shade and also protect us from rain. It sells local fresh fruit and vegs as well as local artists, and so on.... Hope that it will eventaully open on Sundays and open through the year!

I have been a vicarious participant during creation of the Riverside Arts Market..via internet newsletters sent out by Tony, Brandy, Shannon and the crew. Haven't ever met these people nor even crossed their paths. Yet, the passion they convey by their constant committment for the Market to remain in their community, is uplifting and contagious. I did not intend to become part of this happening but I got caught up in the enthusiasm and increasingly wonderful outcomes for participants and buyers alike. I do not know how much money this Market has made but the positive process it creates between others is priceless. So, yes, yes, yes, I support the Riverside Arts Market because it gives space to walk outside our daily "so important stuff" and connect with others... simply with a smile over a baby or of course, "a good buy". In conclusion, I also support the Riverside Art Market becasue it allows peopel to become more educated and appreciate life styles different from thier own. This in turn brings more openess into the community, knitting people together who never would have otherwise made the acquaintance, however brief. So thank you Riverside Arts Market Crew. Thank you for all the millions of minutes you have given of yourselves, for it brings the belief and vision that we are all one a little closer to home.

RAM is a unique market with an awsome atmosphere. It's in an amazing location right on the river. With breezes off the river through out the day, everyday is a beautiful day at RAM. There is wide range of arts to browse and choose from. You'll see everything from modern, contemporary paintings to the more country and classic arts and crafts. Not to mention the Farmers Market is out of this world.

I first visited last Saturday 8/8. I was taken right away by the location, under the bridge and on the river with a nice breeze. I was watching Warren Floyd perform while enjoying a crab cake sandwich (OMG Good) and a glass of tea and it occured to me that there was no other place that I would rather be. This will be a regular Saturday routine for me. Great Job folks!

I've grown up in the SanMarco/St Nicholas area with frequent, weekly visits to Riverside. I've watched the area grow quickly yet beautifully over the years and have become attached as if I once resided in this neighborhood. I love the market which only adds to this beauty and incredible sense of community.

It is a friendly, safe and clean atmosphere. The staff care about the community. It was apparent when the staff set up a bench for a talented but down on his luck man ( and his son) to interact with people and show off his wood carving skills. This act of kindness touched my heart and made me see the good in our community. I offered to help this man as best I could but when I saw what the staff did for him it just brought tears to my eyes.

This place is awesome! It is exactly the venue Jacksonville needed. It's cultural, it's diverse, it's welcoming, it's friendly (adults, children and pets), it's fresh and convenient, it's budget friendly and there's a variety of entertainment, etc. Kudos to whomever thought of bringing this to the Riverside area - it couldn't have been in a better place - and it's open Rain or Shine! When I go, I'm there for hours; shopping, browsing, listening, watching, having lunch, etc. This is the one place in Jacksonville that I do not mind the traffic...LOL!

Riverside Arts Market was a 16 year dream that became a reality last April. The founders did an amazing job. The market is about what they can give to the community and that is exactly what they are doing. The market offers something for everyone and they have an amazing amount of talent scheduled every weekend.

Even though I now live in Pensacola, I still try and go to the Riverside Arts Market whenever I'm home in Jacksonville! The vendors are exploding with talent and soul. The produce is delicious and the art is, by far, some of the most exotic and unique pieces that have long since added to my wish lists. I was even surprised to see a creativity corner for the children! The Riverside Arts Market is just one of the events that helps give Jacksonville it's very own heartbeat.

It's the perfect weekend family outing - one of the first questions my daughter asks every Saturday morning is if we are going to "the arts market". It's also the best place to do all of my produce shopping because everything is so fresh and I love being able to support the local farmers. It's also great that local artists can show and sell their work to people who may otherwise not have been exposed to it. A true asset to our city!

I sometimes enjoy a taste treat from the local restaurants that are set up each week, too. I have never been disappointed going there! Linda

The worker bees (Tony,Mary,Brandy and volunteers) are positive, friendly and helpful. The citizens of Jacksonville have been wonderful and after living an hour away for 22 years I am just now getting to know this wonderful city. The variety offered is incredible from the breads, British meat pies, organic produce, music, art, sweets, and on and on. We are all supporting one another and the community surrounding the market as well. Geez what more could you want?

Riverside Arts Market is a fantastic place to get away and enjoy the outdoors while soaking in live entertainment and enjoying the creations of local artists. I like the fact that it is under the umbrella of the Fuller Warren Bridge, is located along the river, has plenty of free parking and is free to all visitors. As an artist (I am speaking on behalf of my mother here too) we have a great venue to display our art for others to enjoy and to expose our work to a diversity of people. Riverside Arts Market is structured in such a way that it attracts people from many different cultural groups. The market is ever-changing and offers a variety of attractions for the whole family to enjoy. I am a repeat visitor and try to bring someone new with me each time I come. I am looking forward to cooler weather so that I can spend endless hours at the market. Kudos to all who have made this great new venue a success here in Jacksonville, FL. We have needed this for quite some time now!

I am proud to say that I am a vendor at RAM. The organizers are wonderful and they have done a marvelous job. It's a fun way to shop for your local fruit & veggies. In today's economy, I think it's awesome that there is a place to go that's fun for the entire family as there is entertainment for everybody - plus the parking is free and there isn't an admission price. There is some form of entertainment always going on at some place or another and street performers there to entertain as you walk around looking at talented artists' work and enjoying a snow cone, funnel cake or other samples of the wonderful food that's available. Hats off to the RAM for this venue - it's worth the years of planning that you put into this event.

It is a wonderful addition to a city that can sometimes seem to big to be community oriented. The orgainzers did a wonderful job of setting up the market- even on the hottest day you can find comfort from the shade under the bridge and the breeze from the river. The vendors offer a variety of eclectic art, jewelry, food, etc. that really liven up the market and let the consumers purchase unique things that they can't find anywhere else under one roof. My husband and I have really enjoyed going most Saturdays with our baby, now 3 months old. It is a great place for families!

Riverside needed this. This market helps our economy and pulls people into Jacksonville for an awesome outing they won't forget. Lastly, prices are reasonable.

It is very rare that an event which is free and in a terriffic venue, on the St. John's River, ends up supporting so many worthwhile causes; the arts, historic preservation, and the quality of life in Jacksonville and the region. It is a testament to what good things can come out of public / private endeavors. It is also proof that there is and has been a thriving arts and music culture right under our noses. It just took the market to create the mechanism for it to be seen and enjoyed.

I love the mix of Art and Produce. It has allowed me to get to know a lot of local vendors. It's also a great ambassador for the city.

Going to the RAM is a wonderful way to spend a Saturday. Live music wafts through the market as you walk around, look and shop. The opportunity to taste different cuisine is great. The variety of art, the unusual plants, the yummy organic veggies and it is shaded yet outside in the open air, right next to the River Walk. I just love it.

I think everyone who visits the riverside arts market is exposed to all types of cultural experiences. In the future this market will be known as one of the best markets in the country. I am so proud of the organizers who put this together, the volunteers that make it run every week, the entertainment is most excellent, and the location. I am also proud to be a vendor and citizen of Jacksonville , Fla.

The quality of produce from your vendors are beyond belief. I bought red peppers from one vendor and they were still good after three weeks in the refrigerator. The array of vendors are wonderful.

It's the best place to be in Jacksonville on Saturdays...with live entertainment and about 125 booths of arts and crafts, organic produce, and delicious food. Beautiful selection of orchids. I love the chair massage!
