It's an unbeatable picnic destination beside the Yellowstone River and at the feet of the Absorka Mountains. You can stock up on fresh, local produce, sample some of the region's best prepared foods, and chat with friends while listening to live music. The market cultivates business skills and entrepreneurship in kids with its "Youth Booths." It also ensures that fresh, local food is available to seniors through vendor participation in the USDA Senior Farmers Market Nutritional Program. The Livingston Farmers Market is a true community event.

It's more than a marketplace for food and crafts, it's a community gathering place and often features entertainment, as well. Folks talk about going to the market with warmth and affection for everything it represents. Wish we could have it all year long!

Many families here have been hit hard by this economy and their survival depends on our Farmers Market. All of them deserve the very best and I hope they receive it.

The local economy is being given a great reason to thrive independently and sustainably. It teaches our children that everyone can grow and produce for the community and that not everything needs come from a store and from outside of our town and area.

I have watched this farmer's market grow from just a few hardy gardiners sharing their crops to dozens of others who grow, build, bake, collect honey, play instruments, just to entertain, etc. Many are organic farmers and gardiners and are so proud of the products they produce, as well as the many artisans who provide quality goods. Even our local thrift store brings unique items they collect during the week to sell, again to help local charities. Plus! It is located in a beautiful city park along the Yellowstone River...you can't ask for more than that!
