Lady Gaga: Don't Use Meat to Speak Out for the Oppressed

When Lady Gaga recently wore a meat "dress", she explained that her unusual outfit "has many interpretations, but for me...if we don't stand up for what we believe in and don't fight for our rights, pretty soon we're going to have as much rights as the meat on our bones. And I am not a piece of meat."

Gaga tried to use a dress of meat to speak out for the rights of the oppressed -- but the dead animals she wore were oppressed!

It's hypocritical that Gaga would speak up for the rights of persecuted outcasts while supporting an industry riddled with abuse and exploitation.

Ask Lady Gaga to apologize for the meat dress and tell her: it's wonderful that you stand up for human rights, but please don't do it at the expense of another species.
Dead Lady Gaga,

I applaud you for supporting human rights, but I was appalled at the manner in which you chose to make your point -- while wearing the bodies of suffering beings, like the ones you supposedly speak up for.

The infamous "meat dress" doesn't align with your proclaimed values. You claim to be a spokeswoman for the outcasts, the downtrodden, the suffering...the "little monsters" of the world. But what about the suffering of the billions of animals killed for their flesh?

It's hypocritical to speak up for the rights of persecuted outcasts while supporting an industry riddled with abuse and exploitation. Please show compassion to ALL who suffer. I urge you to publicly apologize for the meat dress and in the future, don't stand up for human rights at the expense of another species.
