Saxby Chambliss: Not a Friend of Veterans!
Georgia Senator Saxby Chambliss claims to be a supporter of our men and women in the service and our veterans. But his support comes mostly from staged photo-ops, not his voting record!
Senator Chambliss twice voted against guaranteeing troops' time at home between deployments. And at least 23 times, Chambliss has opposed veterans' programs funding, including opposing funding bullet-proof vets, health care and armored vehicles to protect our troops.
Locked in a tight Dec. 2 runoff race for his Georgia Senate seat, Chambliss is again campaigning as a friend of veterans.

I am upset to learn of your record of campaigning as a friend of veterans and our troops - when your Senate voting record reveals you to be anything but.
Be upfront with Georgia voters in the final weeks of this runoff campaign! Please share with them your record on veterans' bills:
* You opposed the Webb Amendment that would guarantee troops time at home between deployments.
* You voted against increasing funding for veterans' health care 23 times.
* You repeatedly voted against funding armored vehicles, equipment and body armor for troops and military equipment repair.
This voting record demonstrates your real views on America's troops. I urge you to cease campaigning as a friend to America's honorable servicemen and servicewomen and instead address questions on how you've already failed them.
