Cats embody an air of magic and mystery that sets them apart from other domesticated animals. Cats are always just a whisker away from being wild — yet they still choose to live with us. It is not surprising then that many a philosopher, poet, writer and politician have had their imaginations set on fire by the mere presence of a feline in their lives.
