+ add your ownSome of these are great ideas BUT - I have never, ever had any success with planting my (rooted) Christmas tree, and recycling might be worth thinking about, but there are many, many shops, factories charities etc. that absolutely rely on sales at this time of year to keep going. And if they close ... more unemployment, less tax going into the system etc. etc. Think right through the issue before making decisions, folks.
Our family stopped exchanging gifts years ago.
