10 Handmade Holiday Gifts for Mom & Dad

Ten handmade gifts for two of the most important people in your life, the ones who raised you!

Shopping for your parents isn’t always easy. Since you’re not living at home with them anymore, you aren’t around to get an everyday look at the kinds of things they might need or want. And oftentimes asking them directly seems fruitless, since many parents will tell their kids not to get them anything. But we don’t blame you for trying, and we know many of you will want to scour for the perfect gift for two of your favorite people. We’ve done the grunt work and uncovered ten awesome items we think many parents would love to get. All items have been showcased on the truly unique handmade website Uncommon Goods and are the design and work of many talented American “makers.” Even if you’re done with your holiday shopping, we’re willing to bet you’ll enjoy eyeing these fun picks. I like the wood glasses but for the most part most of these are overly expensive and nothing that most of us would be hand crafting at home with our own hands.

I like the fruit flavor infused glass, but I wonder how "green" it is. And the salad bowl is cute. But none of these items are particularly personal.
