Not quite a question, but I want to comment on your statements about "Black soap". There is a little misinformation here. Most regular, or "store bought" soaps do not contain lye, because they are NOT true soaps! They are detergents, plain and simple, and full of detergent chemicals, hence the drying and irritation you feel, that makes you think that you "feel" the lye. Homemade soaps, (real, from scratch homemade, not "melt and pour") whether glycerin based or not, are made using lye, but do not CONTAIN lye,as the lye is transformed in the process. It is no longer lye, it binds with the oils and becomes another thing altogether, it becomes soap. So, while your black soap may not list lye in the ingredients, I'm rather certain that it was used in the process. This is not a bad thing, it's the way soap was made for a thousand years. So, stay away from the "store boughts"! Soap making is creative, safe, and addictive. Your family will never want to go back to using bars of detergent.
Thanks,
Barbara Reuschle

I saw the comment on the mice. We live by a big pond and park, and in MD, and it's just getting nippy out. Our dog passed away, so last year, and more this year, they're invading. What to do?? They scare me, especially with a rabies alert right now- coming home from the hospital to this..! Last year they chewed up through a crawl space, but there were only two. This year, they are everywhere. PLEASE, how would you fight this?

This is truly an emergency for me! I exist on a very limited income and have a serious pest problem; I've tried everything I know of (short of literally poisoning the whole house, which I don't want to do) to eliminate the problem, and nothing is working. The house I live in (and it is impossible for me to move) is a very old house which sits in the middle of a large wheatfield...I have an unimaginable number of mice (I've live-trapped them for a long time and when that didn't work, tried using mousetraps...and nothing I do even , assorted other creatures which constantly run through the area between the roofing and roof, attic-dwellers (?), and most recently, a plethora of spiders. They are everywhere!!! During the last two weeks, I've run-across a dozen black widow spiders, even finding one in my washer, nestled among my just-washed clothing! It was alive, as were all the others. I carefully check everything I touch and it's come to the point that I'm afraid to even reach into a cabinet to clean. I have to keep all my dishes, silverware, etc. in the refrigerator and it's come to the point that I'm even afraid to sleep....this is truly a nightmare and, unless you have an answer for me, I am going to have to buy some sort of poisonous, horribly toxic substance to deal with this. Please tell me there is something safe to use, and preferably something that will simply force all these creatures to exit my home, rather than being toxic and something I don't want at home.

How can I remove the bath oil residue from my towels and robe. They aquire a rancid smell after a while since I use only natural oils. I have tried vinegar in the rinse and washing with a natural oxygen bleach treatment with very little improvement. I have also heard about pouring a coke into the wash but would rather not if there is another way. Thanks for all your good advice online and your messages.

I want to know if placing a medium size mirror on the wall that would be behind the entrance door as it opens is good or bad energy.
