Great ideas,I also clean my windows the old way with vinegar and newspaper.No smears and no chemicals, works also on mirrows.
I use it to protect the whole bathroom when doing my hair (very messy)

One more: make a paper bag!
Some good ideas. Years ago I was a frequent visitor to a very good Mexican Restaurant. The restroom walls were papered with Mexican newspapers (they were sealed with some kind of varnish product). Always thought it was a cool idea and have thought of doing it with one of my loos. You could also use pages from old broken/damaged books.
my mother cleans her windows with vinegar and newspaper. They look so awesome, and she will not use any rags or whatever is out there. Vinegar and Newspaper.
