Hard to see how anyone could vote no!
What a wonderful, simple and novel idea!
great photos thanks for sharing :)
I am a college student doing a research paper on this ballot measure and i just wanted to answer a question someone posted trying to be rhetorical, hover it actually should be answered. the question was why do they need to vote on this, doesn't everyone agree with animal protection. Yes they do but the problem is that measure 5 only covers cats, dogs, and horses and does not address most of the common forms of cruelty in North Dakota. So that is why there are some people saying no to the measure. the NDRAC has been drafting a proposal which is more detailed and provides for better animal care which will be ready by the next ballot, if measure 5 is passed it will take 7 years or a two-thirds majority to change what measure 5 will do. I am a high animal lover and in fact am studying to become a veterinarian. I thought when i chose this topic i would find myself in favor of measure 5 but i actually am opposed to it. I dis not write this to bash anyones ideas all i ask is that before you make a decision or post in support of this ballot please take the time to research both sides of the issue I am sure that may of you would find that you too would vote against measure 5 so that better legislation could be put in place next year and not 7 years from now.
thank you for this slideshow! go north dakota
