5 Clever Solutions for Common Problems

5 Clever Solutions for Common Problems

Problem: Your pastry brush has become gluey.

Solution: Soak it in white vinegar for a couple of hours, then rinse. The acid in the vinegar helps the coating slide easily away.

Problem: You broke a glass bottle and now the floor is littered with a million shards.

Solution: Easy! Soak one side of a bread slice in water, and use it to lift the shards. It will safely and completely clear the floor.

Problem:  You’re feeling blue.

Solution: Don’t reach out for another mug of coffee. Keep a bottle of sesame oil mixed with a few drops of lavender essential oil in your office fridge. Pour 1/2 tsp of it on your palm and give yourself a five-minute hand massage. This stimulates acupressure points and makes you feel relaxed as well as energetic at the same time.

Problem:  Your sunscreen has expired, but there’s still a lot of it left.

Solution: Use the sunscreen as a shaving cream. The thick formula prevents razor burn!

Problem:  You’re cooking with honey/molasses but they end up sticking to your measuring spoon.

Solution: Dip your measuring spoon in hot water, then quickly pour the sticky ingredient on to it. It will slide off quite easily.
