4 Inspiring Outdoor Kitchens

Spotted lately, fully equipped outdoor kitchens en plein air dining (no trips to the indoor fridge or sink required). Here are four standout examples.

Above: LA design collective Commune created this pergola-like outdoor kitchen in a remodel of a Buff & Hensman house in Nichols Canyon. (N.B. For more information, see Commune in Nichols Canyon, LA.) Photography by Richard Powers.

Love those outdoor kitchens but I have trouble just keeping one indoor kitchen clean!

Thanks; I cannot see having a outdoor kitchen in South South Florida, let alone Southern location, way too much bugs (ants and Etc.).

I love the Cape Town kitchen that opens to the pool - that makes so much sense when living in Cape Town. Where you can enjoy, arguably, "the best weather in the world".

It's a small cottage, but they have made the best possible use of the available space... It's truly inviting.
