5 Meatless Thanksgiving Main Courses

Ahh…It’s almost that time of year, Thanksgiving. The lovely holiday where you reunite with loved ones and enjoy a delicious feast while you’re at it. If anything from the original Thanksgiving survived – where the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared their first thankful meal together – it would be that the holiday still surrounds the theme of togetherness, merriment, and gratefulness.

Did you know? It wasn’t until 1863 until Thanksgiving was declared an official holiday by Abraham Lincoln. Since then, every year is filled with delicious food.

(Don’t forget to check out our list of amazing Vegan Thanksgiving Desserts, Sides, Salads and Stuffing!)

Instead of including turkey as your main course dish – and adding to the nearly 50 million turkeys who are killed every year for this holiday – try these vegan main courses instead.

My husband and I are going to have a veggie and tofu stir-fry served over organic jasmine rice. Pumpkin bread for dessert, and of course wine. Happy Thanksgiving all!!!
