2. Nuts and Seeds

Nuts and seeds are a bit high in the fat and calorie department, but they’re also an excellent protein source and full of vitamins and minerals. I like adding nuts to casseroles, sandwiches, and rice dishes for a bit of protein and crunch. You can also add flax or chia seeds to your smoothies for a little protein on the go.

I have just one source of protein in my diet. It's called simply... FOOD!

If one eats enough of any one food (discounting alcohol and sugars which really are not food) to meet their caloric needs then one will not just meet but exceed their protein needs:

Corporations trying to find a way to rid themselves of waste have sold us on the idea of protein (as in whey which is a by-product of making cheese they would otherwise need to pay to have hauled off) but I bet there is no doctor in the west who has seen a case of protein deficiency that isn't rooted in alcoholism or an eating disorder and that's not a protein problem but other problems. Same with those starving to death. Give them some food and the issues reverse. No need to special protein.

Eat well, lots and lots of plants and let the protein take care of itself. Worry about the other nutrients which few get from these processed foods and supplements. Eat real!
