7 Utensils That Help You Cook Healthy

Besides choosing what you eat, it is important to select the right tools for a slimmer waistline and a longer lifeline. Here are my picks of must-have kitchen gizmos that help you consume fewer calories:

A twirl whisk: it whips up such fluffy eggs that you don’t need to use butter or cream.

A handheld blender: want to whip up a luscious smoothie or a ‘creamy’ soup without the cream? This is your best friend.

A root vegetable masher: again, its ability to give you a creamy, buttery mash makes you love  potatoes the healthy way, and helps you forget about frying them.

An olive oil pourer with a flip lid: all the flavor without too much fat…a drizzle will not only lavish your salads with health benefits, but also lend them a glorious sheen.

A good quality wooden spatula: this helps you keep your pans scratch free, so you don’t have to resort to using more oil to cook your food.

A wire-mesh skimmer: just scoop up the layer of fat from your gravies, soups and sauces, and eat without guilt.

A steamer: self-explanatory, this!  Use this and your platter of steamed  veggies will boast zero oil, all the flavor, and gorgeous good looks.

I have all of these. The hand held blender is a great new addition to my kitchen.

I have them all except for the root vegetable masher, cause I'm not sure what that looks like.
