You’ve heard of the endangered mountain gorillas in Rwanda, and maybe you’ve watched the amazing video, Extraordinary Gorilla Reunion. The good news is that the Government of Rwanda has taken steps to protect them, and their numbers are now increasing. Charles Annenberg Weingarten of Explore joins Craig Shelly of the African Wildlife Foundation in Rwanda to see these marvelous animals that he studied many years ago.
In this video you see a mother gorilla and her baby up close. The look in her eyes is just like the look of a human mother, showing intense love for the baby. As you see these pictures of the baby gorilla, can you see the connection between gorillas and humans?
