In essence, this diet is very similar to the "Best Bet Diet", which I have been following for four years to combat Multiple Sclerosis.
I have been very successful with this and I wish I was able to conviince more people with MS that this, and not the drugs prescribed by their neurologist, is the way forward.
But then, there is no profit in telling patiens to change their diet, is there?

Mangosteen fruit has also been proven to reduce inflamation. It works wonderfully if you use the mangosteen juice beverage by Xango. With this product, you don't have to change you eating habits (although eating healthy is always recommended) but you do have to be sure to drink your water, which many people forget. I know people who have had amazing results after only a few weeks of using this mangosteen juice with their arthritis, stroke recovery and just general pain. It has helped my back pain incredibly!

Foods from the nightshade family of plants can increase inflammation; these include potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and paprika. Elimination of these foods can decrease pain for many people with arthritis. These foods can also be triggers for migraine.

Interesting that it's called 'fresh' ginger and turmeric tea, when there is no fresh ginger or turmeric in it. Oh, well. I will drink it anyway. I have been drinking ginger
tea for years and will now add that nasty tasing turmeric to it. I just hope the ginger
taste overpowers the taste of the turmeric. I
suppose there are worse tasting things, I just don't happen to care for it.

WOW! Again I'm dissappointend and I've got to add my comment as a nutritionist. It's obvious that more fruits and veggies and less processed food is a healthier diet for anyone, but a couple of these recommendations are way off base! Alex is right, saturated fats ar NOT dangerous. Healthy saturated fats have been proven to DECREASE inflammation if the body's digestion is healthy enough to assimilate them. And, although whole grains are better than white refined grains, we need very little grains in our diet - period. We do need more omega 3s in our modern diet today (we typically eat way too many omega 6s) and fish oils are an excellent source for many (but not all) people. If you purchase an omega 3 fish oil from a reliable source, you shouldn't have to worry about the mercury -the supplement company will test for it. Care2Healthy really needs to get off the allopathic bandwaggon. The studies that are quoted by the doctors and the FDA in many of your articles are greatly supported by the pharmaceutical companies that really want to stay in business by selling us more medicine. That means keeping us in the "sick" business. When I see clients I recommend no processed foods, lots of veggies and some fruits, plenty of animal proteins and - (yes) - saturated fats, very little or no grains and sugars, and plenty of healthy water. They lose weight, their cholestorol goes down, their blood sugar stabilizes, they have more energy and they are heathier!

There are tons of studies showing omitting meats in diets completely relieves inflammation, not to mention diabetes. But these diets must also be healthy & balanced. Meaning fresh fruits & veggies, any necessary supplements, and when using grains, only whole ones which are preferably gluten free. Sugars in fruits aren't harmful, they're natural. So unless there's another condition one has which could be harmed by eating them, disregard comments made on sources like this site. However, always listen to your Dr./health provider. There's plenty of areas where the only food source was either just onions, strawberries, wheat, or something of that lone single item, and the occupants thrived.
As for fish oil, yes it has omega 3's which are awesome for our diets. Yet there's not only that mercury thing, there's the dangers overfishing causes, and the fact the fish get their omegas by eating smaller fish, that got them in the first place by eating seaweed. I take Udo's choice unrefined Algae, DHA. Plus flax is an awesome source too. A study on firemen, the group w/the worst cases of heart disease, showed flax to be just as beneficial. I've heard arguments that for men, flax isn't as good, but not only this study disproves that, or the majorly extensive one in The China Study, there's evidence showing fish oil can be harmful. Besides flax is way cheaper. A pain to take, that's why I take the other, but cheaper & better. A vegan nutritionist quoted me 3T oil daily, or 6T
