You might think that something's fishy on 'National Caviar Day.' Some fish have been recognized to have highly aphrodisiac effects when eaten with that intention. Generally, most fish have some mystical history behind them. For instance, the ancient Egyptians believed that the Sun God Ra was guided on his journey into the underworld by a fish. That culture also made offerings of fish to their gods and goddesses, and some high priests wouldn't eat certain types of fish due to their mystical associations. In fact, mummified fish have been found in tombs and temples across the globe. The Huna shamans in Hawaii saw the striking similarities between their own deities and the beautiful native fish. In fact, that culture went so far as to declare it hazardous to eat fish that were considered sacred. But if you want to make sure that you have a tall tale to tell about the one that didn't get away, then feed the one you love some caviar and keep them on the hook happily ever after!
