Know the details before buying grains and pastas in bulk. If hermetically sealed and kept in a cool, dry environment, most pasta and white rice should keep for eight to ten years! On the other hand, brown rice has a storage life of six months under average conditions. Buy only what you need of the latter, and stock up on the former.
