Big Dog, Little Bed, Very Cute (Video)

This goofy boxer dog wants to nap in a bed meant for a chihuahua. Where there’s a will there’s a way–and a cute pup confused by his own size.

I've noticed that a lot of animals choose beds or chairs that are too small for them; it might be some instinctive feeling of being safe in a small space. This theory however does not explain yesterday's excitement.

I opened the car door for my foster dog. He's a medium size dog and the car is a hatchback with the usual carpet-covered particle board parcel shelf under the rear window. He's been in the car before and is fine. However yesterday he decided that he would leap onto the rear board. He sat there very pleased with himself, looking for all the world like one of those bobble-headed dog toys. People passing by thought it was hilarious and super cute. I must admit so did I. While I was telling him that he was much too big to sit there, of course the inevitable happened and the board cracked in half and he dropped onto the floor. I now have a broken parcel shelf. He was completely unfazed by the whole experience and went on to enjoy his ride in the back seat where he belonged.

Never a dull moment with a foster dog!

Nice video. Well, the dog figured it out, not comfortable though.

One of my cats does the same. He is big and likes to squish into bed of the smallest cat, or sometimes he squishes into her bed with her in it :)

Poor little guy! I'd say he needs a big bed of his own :-)
