Sure, they annoy us greatly when they stand in our way on the sidewalk (and don’t get us started on the “presents” with which they “decorate” the city and our air-conditioning units), but something about pigeons taking public transportation just tugs at our jaded city-living heartstrings.
Just take a gander at this cute lil’ guy calmly riding the Toronto subway. He’s just like every other commuter: avoiding eye contact, minding his own business and maintaining his balance. When the train pulls into his stop, he exits — making sure to mind the gap between the train and the platform. We can only wonder what kind of 9-5 job he’s holding down that requires traveling underground when he could so easily get there via his wings.
