Body Scrub: Gift Formula

Although the basic scrub formula calls for ground nuts (very
emollient), grains, liquids, herbs, and essential oils, the variations
are endless. Here are some great ideas for a start. Body scrubs are
wonderful on itchy winter skin.

INGREDIENTS
2/3 cup finely ground nuts or seeds
1/3 cup flour (legume flour works, too)
1/2 to 1 teaspoon ground herbs such as rosemary
20 drops or so essential oils
Enough purified water (bottled mineral water is great) to make a paste.

Blend all the ingredients into a fine paste. Combine in a glass jar and screw on the top. Add directions that when you are the person to whom you are giving the scrub wants to use some, he or she pour about 1/3 cup of the mixture into a bowl, and stir in enough water to make a paste. One should then wet the body, scoop some of the paste onto one’s hand, and scrub to one’s heart’s delight. Rinse.
