You’ve heard wolves howl; have you heard them sing? There’s an iPhone app called LaDiDa that uses artificial intelligence to change bad singing to not so bad and give it a musical background. The developers have applied this software to wolves howling with impressive results. Check it out. It’s very cool. The wolves are impressive vocalizers. Some viewers, not knowing how it was done, said that if wolves could do this, they were worried about the continued dominance of the human race.

That was nice, but it was too loud and overshadowed the beauty f the howl. We should listen to the howl whenever we can, for it is THE voice of the wilderness, and if mankind keeps up, we soon will only have silence. We are robbing ourselves of our most precious possession.
