Chimp Feeds Tiger Cubs (Video)

A two-year old chimp in a Thai zoo was trained to feed tiger cubs, and has been doing so for about a year. While some might criticize using a chimp this way as being forced cuteness, it also could be an enrichment experience for the chimp. Enrichment helps animals in captivity experience less boredom, since they can’t move around normally and have less interactive stimulation to engage them.

The animals are cute and sweet and innocent, but I don't care much for the humans who delegate responsibility like this. What good are they? I couldn't understand what she said, but rather than instructing the little guy, why wasn't she feeding the babies and cuddling all of them? AND...why was that other little chimp chained at the waist?!!!! These babies all need humans who will love and pamper them. Their only "job" should be to play and be happy.

So cute however, what is this place where the chimp is wearing close and the women is the trainer - trainer for what?

What a nice video. The chimp seems to enjoy it all. How cute to see them playing together.
