Here is an eco-friendly approach to our clothes. Many of us have overstuffed closets and we are constantly being tempted by the fashion industry to get more. But do we really need more?
Heidi Hackemer came up with a great experiment and a shopping diet challenge. Pick out six items from your collection and wear only those for a month.
Can you do it? Of course you can. Will you do it? Well, that’s another matter. Anyway, hear her pitch and see what she and her followers are able to achieve. I’ll be fascinated to see the comments on this one.

Noted...thanks so much.
Interesting.
Thanks
maybe i will try
I'm actually thinking about putting this challenge into action at my school... not sure anybody's gonna want to try it out, but I figure I might as well! It sounds like a ton of fun!
1. black socks, 2. black briefs, 3. black chinos, 4. black sateen shirt, 5. black undershirt (high neck), 6. black paperboy cap. You can wash all the cloth items together, low water, cold. Hand wash and hang the black sateen shirt.
Goes good with sterling silver jewelry and turquoise. Black boots with sterling silver toe caps looks cool! also a red tie or bolo on the black sateen shirt.
Thanks might try it out.
It's a fun idea I think most of us probably wear the same thing almost everyday anyway, however 6 pieces is just not enough I would need a couple more.
I would have to wear only my underwear and jeans...sounds appealing to my husband's ears!!
thank you!
