Create A Simple Workspace

At Remodelista, we’re always finding inspiration from well-designed spaces, such as this simple and functional home office. We did some research and sourced some products to help recreate this look in your own home. For further ideas, check out Steal This Look: Wayne Pate’s Office in Brooklyn on Remodelista.

Above: The Vika Amon/Vika Lerberg 59-inch-wide work table lends a clean design and plenty of space; it features steel legs with a particleboard top; $59.99 at Ikea.

Above: For a minimal recycling or trash container, the powder-coated steel Knodd bin with lid is a Remodelista favorite; $24.99 at Ikea; Above R: The beechwood and horsehair Table Brush from Iris Hantverk does double duty as wall decor; $50 at Design Within Reach (for similar options, check out these dustpan sets).

Above: Made of galvanized steel, the classic Tolix Chair is an investment that will last; currently on sale for $199 at Pottery Barn (view these selections for more economical seating options).

I'm not sure how this article relates to Care2 themes. It seems to be an advertisement for how to spend money. I would be far more interested in an article on how to adapt what I have to be more effective and healthy. Images and articles that provide the following ideas and tips would be useful:
- How can I raise/lower a desk to fit two people of different heights and still look good?
- How can I keep necessary paperwork in a way that takes up the least amount of room yet is still easy to browse through and find what I need when I need it?
- If my desk is looking at a blank wall or is in a tiny, uninviting area, how can I change it so I'm comfortable and find it a pleasure to sit there for up to 8 hours a day?
