How to Customize Your Own Bath Gel

Autumn is a great time to discover bath and shower gels, if you haven’t already. They wash away dead skin cells and leave your skin satiny smooth and moisturized, all ready for winter.

This great shower gel recipe uses ingredients many of us already have in our homes, so you can make it on the spot and as needed. And you can make it unscented or scented using your favorite pure essential oils, as you choose!

Here’s how:

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup unscented shampoo
1/4 to 3/4 cup water
3/4 teaspoon salt
8 drops essential oil (optional)
3 drops vitamin E (you can open liquid pills)
Optional addition: 1 to 2 tablespoons glycerin and/or aloe vera gel

Blend until well mixed. Use more or less water depending on texture desired. Herbal shampoos made without detergents are preferred.
