DIY: Gift Bags Made from Recycled Envelopes

posted by Veronica Peterson Apr 14, 2009 8:47 am

5. Use a bit of double-sided tape to stick the corner triangle flaps to the bottom of the bag.

6. Reverse the folds along the sides of the bag to give it shape.

7. If you like, punch holes and thread ribbon through for a handle.

All done. You can fill your Baglets with candy for party favors or put little gifts in them.

Love love love your sweet bags! Of course I have 'extra' envelopes hanging around....don't know where they came from lol, but now I have a fabulous project to use them in. Love your blog and thanks for sharing your inspiration.

Fab idea - and SO quick and easy.

Fun and practical! I make kites of recyclable and nonrecyclable items, and teach kids, veterans, and cancer survivors, to name a few. One kite is made totally from newspaper, except for the line!
