Here’s a clever idea for a room divider from Sydney-based Alwill Studio: a simple rope screen made with two wooden dowels.
Alwill Studio describes their design philosophy as, “influenced by the Japanese design concept of Wabi Sabi, our response to furniture and object design is rational, elegant, utilitarian + organic. Alwill believes in having a strong concept tailored to the individual client which informs and responds to every aspect of design, from the bigger picture buildings to the way one small object sits next to another.”
Below is a detail of the knots used to make the screen. See more of their work at Alwill Studio.

Live near a popular climbing spot? Do people leave rope? Clean up and get a room divider, too!
