Dog and Elephant: Best Friends (Video)

At the Elephant Sanctuary outside Nashville, elephants arrive one by one but soon seek out a partner, usually another elephant. Tarra had her own ideas, and she bonded with a stray dog named Bella. They became inseparable. They sleep together, drink together, play together. When Bella was sick for three weeks, Tarra stood by. It seems almost like a Disney story. When Disney actually came knocking to make a movie about this odd couple, the Sanctuary keepers said no. They are there to serve the animals; not vice versa.

Right on! Sanctuary keepers! All the production would probably have stressed them out! Another option would be to have Animal.Planet put hidden camera's to.capture the duo's antics. This I feel, wouldn't be invasive, but would be a wonderful educational program for children & families! This type of programing is what families NEED, w/out harming, or stressing out the animals natural activities. Just a thought, it would be wonderful to get a glimpse into their wonderful world!!!!
