It's too bad dogs don't live longer.

Are we such beneficial to them as well?

A few of these were really cute but a couple would be worrisome to me. The last one should be a red flag and not promoted as a "good doggy babysitter".

Considering the latest news from Great Britain of yet another baby being killed by the family dog, this time a Malamute, I believe Care2 should delete this article.

Be safe, rather than sorry. Watch your dog with your young children and babies. Even a very even tempered dog can play too rough and kill.

I agree, some dogs took the job to far. This also might give to the notion that if you leave your baby with the dog you can leave and come back to a sad ending. No one wants that.

The magnificent protectiveness these dogs show, delights my innermost feelings.
We, humans, will never quite comprehend what make them decide that protecting a baby is their job.
Most probably, they will be extremely close friends for the lifetime of the dog.

I'm not comfortable w/this video. the dogs are way too close to the babies' faces, and the last dog was too possessive

i don't think promoting dogs protecting babies from their parents is a good idea
