Organic is often preferable, avoiding toxins prevalent in so many foods today, especially highly refined ones.

If all agriculture is as "unnatural" as one commented just how does one eat, pick wild berries? Munch on wild bull rushes and leeks? Seems to be objecting to organic farming, or does this one factory farm veggies? Most people are on the grid in one way or another unless we all go back to pre industrial living in the western world.

Another stated that we can help offset the cost of organic foods if we cut down on meat, depends actually where one lives, especially if in a cold climate country - organic is always higher but healthier be it veggies, fruit or meat! Will not stop eating meat but all one needs is a portion the size of a deck of cards and free range, non-hormone/antibiotic is best, the same goes for veggies grown non toxic without pesticides and GMO seeds.

Another said factory farm eggs for $1.50, here it is around $2.50 or more while free range are $3.00 at a nearby farm! So many price variations around the world.

Have a tiny balcony so space for my organic veggies and herbs are limited, too cold for tropical fruits!

Actually I warn against buying organic food in grocery stores. I have found that some grocery stores mix their veggies together and or some customers return items to the wrong areas. If you buy organic please get it from a farmer or someone you know that grows their own or better yet try to grow what you can. You would be surprised what you can grow in a small amount of soil.
