Easy Chocolate Fondue

There’s no two ways around it, fondue is fun. It can be romantically-playful fun, it can be make-a-chocolate-mess-with-the-kids fun, it can just be plain old fun. And who doesn’t like fun? Especially when it involves chocolate! In this version from Eating Well, the chocolate will stiffen if it gets cold, so enjoy it while it’s still warm and wonderfully gooey. Skewer and dip anything you like.
3 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 tablespoon brewed espresso (see Kitchen Tip)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Dippers of your choice: banana, pears, dried apricots, strawberries, marshmallows, etc
1. Place chocolate, cream, espresso, vanilla and salt in a medium microwave-safe bowl; microwave on Medium, stirring every 20 seconds, until melted, 1 to 2 minutes. Alternatively, place chopped chocolate in the top of a double boiler over hot, but not boiling water. Gently stir until almost melted. Remove from the heat and stir until the chocolate melts completely.
2. Pour the chocolate mixture into a serving bowl. Serve with fruit.

As a confirmed chocoholic this sounds like a great idea! I love fondue.
If there are any other chocolate addicts reading this, I'd like to let you know there's a new organic, raw, vegan, celiac-approved, candida and fungus-killing chocolate here. My friend told me about it a few days ago. He lost 20 pounds in one month eating one piece before meals. No sugar or artificial sweeteners. I ordered some but don't know yet if it will work for fondue but figured I'd put the info out there for any vegans, raw foodists, celiacs, people with addictions or overweight people. Half a pound to a pound a day seems to be the normal weight lost with this. Email me at detoxexpert@gmail.com if interested and have a happy fondue day!
