Eye Bag Remedy: Nuts About Pistachios

Adapted from Almond Eyes, Lotus Feet by Sharada Dwivedi, et al (HarperCollins, 2007).
Delving into this stunning beauty book takes you deep into a heartwarming tale of royal India, and it shares the ancient recipes, secrets, and rituals of Indian beauty and health. Recounted as an evocative personal story, there are perfect remedies here for every beauty need, including this one for how to remove dark circles under the eyes.
The pistachio is the perfect nut to remove dark circles under the eyes. The Indian women who are the sources of the lore of this lovely book grind a few pistachio nuts with a teaspoon of milk and gently apply this to the delicate area around the eyes. Then they wash it off after half an hour. Like so many natural remedies, this one doesn’t work overnight. It takes time and patience. That is why consistency and routine is so important. It is important to impart not only the remedy but also the understanding of why and how it works, so you will not be tempted to abandon it in haste.
Editor’s Note: Use a mortar and pestle to grind the pistachios to a paste.

I used to get bags under my eyes all the time due to my inability to fall asleep easily . I would stay up late thinking about something then wake up early next morning only to see little bags under my eyes. I somehow managed to kick the habit of staying up late but my eye bags wouldn't go away.I then recently read an article about a woman who supposedly got rid of her eye bags using a particular eye product. I tried it and it worked really well. I got rid of my eye bags in 3 weeks. You can read more about the lady's article at the link below

I do wonder about the "adrenal nurturing" as well. I have adrenal dysfunction and have yet to figure out enough ways to "nurture" so as to defeat it. Green tea and chocolate both help alot...but not much else has. Licorice is claimed as one of the best things for the adrenals, but doesn't seem to do much for me.
Also, I wonder if the this recipe really needs milk. For some unknown reason, milk just does not work with me. I'm not sure yet if its as simple as lactose or casein. D:

Raw potatoe slices? Cool. I'll try it for certain...
Also, how does one nurture their adrenal glands?

One way potato juice can be made is to extract the juice from the potato by using a vegetable-juice extractor. Should work.

potato is the singular of potatoes. Sorry, but that's one pet peeve of mine.

I haven't used potatoes for this and it sounds interesting. Thanks!
