Winged ones have fascinated humans with their soaring flight and the beauty of their song from the earliest beginnings of time. Some of us have a bird as our totem or power animal, while others of us simply enjoy watching their antics around the bird-feeder. But no matter what the nature of our connection to birds, the type that we prefer can give us some interesting clues about our own personalities.
Choose your favorite bird and find out what it tells about you, here:
Crow – Intelligence, magic, mysticism, spiritual strength. Look for opportunities to be creative and bring forth the magic of life.
Dove – Peace, prophecy, maternal instinct. Mourn the past, but the promise of the future awaits you. Imagine what you could birth in your life.
Eagle – Spiritual and mystical power, illumination, healing, perception, creativity. Take on responsibility and embrace your healing and creative power.
Goose – Vision, imagination, loyalty. Your imagination may compel you to travel, either physically or in your mind.
Hawk – Visionary, protector, strength, power. Awaken your vision and embrace your creativity. Move dynamically toward your soul purpose.
Heron – Self-reliance, balance, ability to progress. You follow your own path and move powerfully toward opportunities.
Hummingbird – Joy, playfulness, sweetness, independence. You may accomplish the seemingly impossible, and can rejoice in the miracle of life.
Owl – Silent wisdom, magical mystery, clairvoyance, fearlessness. You can access your strength and power, your ability to “see in the dark” of even the most mysterious circumstances.
Songbird – Resourceful, adaptable, communicating freely and with beauty. Your cheerfulness and vitality are a source of joy to all around you.
Swan – Stately, graceful, sensitive, beautiful. Freely express the mysteries of poetry and song, awakening to the power and beauty within you.

+ add your ownI like bluejays but since it isn't on the list, my favorite on the list is Eagle.
hmm. i would have answered raptors, no question. but i love to be greeted by a mockingbird in my tree every morning. hard to say which i really like, hawks or mocking birds. i am not hawk like. i resemble the description for songbird more of the two choices.
thanks

... Eagles and hawks for me... Thanks, that was pretty cool...
Owls are my favourite
Quetzals! YEY, Brenda T!
I am a fan of Hummingbird. This is my wife's chosen last name, actually, so I will be a "Hummingbird" once we both do a legal name change :0)
My favorite is the bald eagle. So very elegant and beautiful!
Noted with thanks.
I seem to be drawn towards herons. I'd like to say hawk, but I think that has more to do with ego (that's what I would choose), yet it seems to be the heron (or egrets) that tend to crop up more syncronicitically and in spiritually significant contexts, so, that is probably the more accurate choice for me.
I love magpies, Macaws, hummingbirds and quetzals!
