Find Your Inner Sanctuary of Compassion
Adapted from Kuan Yin by Daniela Schenker (Sounds True, 2007).
Many believe that there are ascended masters on this earth who play a decisive role in the spiritual development of humankind. Kuan Yin, known as a being of boundless and radiant compassion, is considered one, and her work has reverberated throughout the world although her roots are in Asia. Open yourself to Kuan Yin to find your own inner sanctuary of infinite compassion:
Imagine Kuan Yin seated on a rock surrounded by an expansive sacred lake. Her presence blesses all beings living nearby, and she provides protection from the perils of the swirling water.
Anu is considered the manifestation of a crystal-clear sacred lake that, according to Indian legend, is located on the northern side of the Himalayas. Four sacred rivers flow from this lake. Its shores are covered in gold, silver and emeralds, and the beaches are golden sand.
The holy lake Anu is a special power spot. Here, everything is purified, and this is the energy Kuan Yin represents in this vision and it is called Anu Kuan Yin. The water (mind) is crystal clear; there are no clouds or disturbances. Gold and silver represent the universal energies, and emeralds stand for communication, spiritual powers, and the energy of the heart. The four sacred rivers spread out to the four directions, carrying the pure, sacred consciousness of Kuan Yin throughout the world.
Call her to you and ask her to help you find your inner sanctuary of compassion and clarity.

Many year ago, I was sleeping in the afternoon. I had a bit of a lump on my thyroid and was worried about it. As I was dozing, I "felt" "saw" a bat come, and felt warmth in my throat, a healing warmth. When I woke up, my lump was gone. I knew nothing about Kuan Yin, and only identified that spirit after a lot of searching.
Last week my son and I were talking about this event, and this week I find that I have a hyperactive thyroid, that has just started to occur. Now this email came.

I love the image of Anu Kuan Yin, and have experienced her as a source of compassion for myself and others. I have a necklace with a little medallion of her that I wear when I know I have a trying day ahead of me. That small reminder helps me stay centered and calm so that I can be compassionate to others.
But I was so disappointed to click on the highlighted word "vision" in the description of the holy lake Anu and then be directed to a search engine for vision care providers--yes, I know I need an eye exam and I'm going to do it soon! However, this wasn't exactly the way to maintain the meditative mood this little article was creating!

Kuan Yin is a witness to your life, she feels everything you feel and understands the depth of your experience. You can call upon her for help any time. She is a wonderful guide. I keep a small statue of her on my home altar as she inspires me to be more like her, to have peace within and to be kind to myself and others. She reminds me that I am everything I need. www.GrassdancerEssences.com

These beautiful and holy saints will communicate with you. I found this out first hand over a year ago. I found myself singing Santa Lucia, with such a sense of love. I found out later that day that truly it was her day as it is celebrated in a certain country. I felt her love several times during that day. It was quite a suprise to me to get such a confirmation concerning these saints.

I agree Robin. You can't give what you don't have. Everything starts from within. Thanks!

And remember that compassion for the self is where it starts... there is nothing wrong with you if your life has struggles...everyone's does. There is nothing wrong with you if you have failed... everyone has. You get the idea! Robin www.MeditationMovie.com
