Move over, urban chickens. Now there’s something even greener. Devotees to sustainable, eco-conscious living can now raise their own organic fish to eat — even in the heart of New York.

I have friends who are omnivores like me; vegetarians and vegans and we all get along. Laura, I don't think Dale was criticizing your choice of diet or you. I think he is tired of those people who insist that the only way is their way and everyone else should drop dead if they don't agree. It is the extremists and believe me I don't eat factory food sources; soy or corn; or anything that isn't naturally raised.
Interesting idea about the fish farm though. Very promising. That's another thing. I won't eat any fish that doesn't say wild on the label. Cheers y'all.
Why can't people learn to like veggies one says? I do eat them...Will vegans quit whining about the lifestyle of others and just leave meat, fish, poultry eaters alone? You are free to choose the lifestyle suited best to you without constantly lecturing the rest of us. Living on murder--well, well, well--last time I looked even vegans must eat living organisms-you feed on the death of living plants. Until Mother Nature changes her mind and decides that organic entities on this planet can survive by ingesting and living off inorganic substances such as rocks and survive then get off your high horse and follow your choice and quit preaching to everyone else. One member named Colleen jumps into discussions and often tells us that it is good for meat eaters to burn an agonizing death from fire and other put downs.
If you love being vegan-fine, just quit putting everyone else down-Nature also made some animals meat eaters. Yet some vegans are trying to offer their dogs vegan style dog food. They can't do that with cats whom are obligate carnivores and have to eat meat or die. Tell Mother Nature she erred and have her change our DNA. Yes, me have an intelligent mind and can make choices, that does not make you better than anyone else.
Next time you murder those asparagus spears or eat that quinoa like I also do, it was once a living entity. Take it up with Mother Nature and ask her to redesign the varied species of the planet so that we only ingest non-living organisms
To continue with my comment made below since Care2 does not have a twitter like word count telling us when our time is up...

Take it up with Mother Nature and ask her to redesign the varied species of the planet so that we only ingest non-living organisms to survive. Until then, eat your dandelions, fiddle heads and fungi and stop with the holier than thou trashing of anyone who does not live your lifestyle.
Oh, forgot to mention-eating a veggie lifestyle-many companies use GMOs-genetically modified seeds and other things re veggies that are not healthy unless one is lucky enough to be on a farm far away from GMO crops and raise uncontaminated veggies and fruit.

Wow! Plants are alive, but they're not animals with brains and feelings. Not sure if the fish pond farm is cool or not. I don't believe in salmon fish farms as they cause problems to the wild fish.
