This past November (or, ahem, Movember), nearly 500,000 men across the world grew mustaches to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer research. And it’s been wildly successful — since the movement got off the ground in Australia in 1999, Movember has raised $190 million USD.
And now, ladies want in on the action.
Enter Julyna, which aims to raise money and awareness for cervical cancer and HPV. Instead of growing mustaches, though, Julyna is asking women to style their hair “down there”.
Women who take the pledge will spend July styling their bikini lines — the Toronto-based groups’ website even offers a number of creative styles to choose from.
To the surprise of Julyna’s founders, the Canadian Cancer Society even got on board with the campaign.
The goal is to raise $50,000 in July, both through the bikini line styles and a black-tie fundraiser.
What do you think about Julyna? Are you going to participate?
