Most of us drink our grapes in the form of wine, but where’s the fun in that? Try out this grape margarita with your next Mexican-inspired meal.
Makes one cocktail.
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 5 Green grapes
- 1 sprig of cilantro, plus one or two leaves for garnish
- 1 ounce freshly-squeeze lime juice
- 2 Ounces silver tequila
- 0.75 Ounce Cointreau
1. Make simple syrup. In a small saucepan, dissolve sugar into 1/2 cup water over medium heat. Stir constantly until the sugar has fully dissolved. Measure 1 ounce of syrup, setting aside the rest of the syrup for later use.
2. Muddle grapes, cilantro, lime juice and 1 ounce simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Pour tequila and contra over the mixture. Fill the shaker with ice, add lid, and shake well to combine. Strain the margarita into a glass, and garnish with cilantro leaves.
