Handicapped Pup Found in Trash Walks Tall (Video)

Last week The Daily Treat shared the story of Harper, a severely deformed 11-week old pitbull pup abandoned to die in a trash bag. Harper was subsequently rescued by angels from a local shelter and now has a new leash on life!

Well, what a difference a week makes! Harper appeared yesterday on NBC’s TODAY Show and was featured walking around with confidence and even chewing on Matt Lauer’s shoe.

Watch darling Harper make some serious power moves in the video below and learn about the special therapies they are using to help rehabilitate this special pup.

Kudos again to the wonderful volunteers that have made her recovery possibleLearn more here about the work of Dollys Foundation, the organization that is helping rehab Harper and other special needs pups like her.

There should be no abandoned doggies

lovely, lovely story. the person who was prepared to drown her should be euthanised via the same methods they were going to use on the dog. at best, they shouldn't have gotten away with it. it's not her fault and what a wonderful job this rescue has done for her and the breed. well done to those involved!
