Heat and light are forms of healing energy. Have you ever noticed, for instance, that many healersí hands grow noticeably hot as they work? Traditions throughout history and around the globe have honored the healing power of light and heat.
There is no greater source of light and heat than the sun, and this is the sunís peak time; at Solstice, the day is longest and the sun is at its zenith. It is the perfect time of year to allow the sunís power to heal you. This simple visualization can be done any time, any place, and as often as you like. Unlike medication, it has no side effects and canít be overused. Read it here:
1. Sit or lie down comfortably. Close your eyes, and gently bring your awareness to any part of you that needs healing or attention. Bring your hands to that place.
2. Now visualize the great healing power of the sun pouring down on you. Imagine it pouring down into the crown of your head, pouring down your arms into your hands, then pouring out like sweet warm honey into the places that need healing. Gradually, gently, imagine the loving, warm sun-fire burning away your pain, your dis-ease, loosening the tightness, pouring like balm into every part of you, filling you with life and warmth and ease.
3. Lie or sit for a few minutes just imagining this sweet easeful heat and light filling you, making you glow with radiance. Then, when youíre ready, stretch, and open your eyes.
