Q: I’d like to cook a heart-healthy meal for my wife on Valentine’s Day. What do you suggest?

A: You sound like a great husband! There are thousands of heart-healthy recipes out there.

In fact, the American Heart Association has quite a few on their own website at www.americanheart.org.

While Valentine’s Day is a great time to start thinking about matters of the heart, tell your wife that you are committed to helping the whole family eat healthier and live longer and that this gesture on Valentine’s Day is just the start.

That is what the dairy business tells us so we have a 'good' reason to buy their product.

There is no need for another animals milk in our diet and we can get all the calcium from plants and seeds for example sesame and dark leafy green vegetables.

Harvard did a study on whether or not milk protects us against osteoporosis and it made no difference:
