Tanya and Dakota I hope that my signature will help you in a way I really do not understand why Bush took your protections away but I should also say that it does not surprise me at all. I have always admired the grey wolf a beautiful misunderstood creature around the world .Unfotunatly humans are becoming dehumanized very fast and that is very scary for you and other poor animals that suffer horrible injustices. I think there should be heavy fines and or community service ex. helping zoo's, working in city pounds, etc. helping animal orgs.The jails are overcrowded and yet we need to make abusers know that are animal friends are to be respected and loved for they are loyal and loving. Animal shelters need donations and volunteers so why not!!!!

Unfortunatly I live in Mexico city and it is number 1 in the world for animal abuse & cruelty and nobody realy cares.Thousands upon thousands of tray dogs & cats roam about,and if they happend to be caught by the city pound I dont want even to mention how they get reed of them.We do have a Humane Society but they are not very strong on enforsing the cruelty laws if they exist here in Mexico.I belong to a group that we try to do as much as posible for the strays but we are not backed by any one ,so unfortunatly there is only so much we can do.I would appreciate any comment or idea so we can help even more,than you.

Something needs to be done to people who abuse animals. But our prisons are over flowing now, serious bad people are let out early from jail and prison for over crowding. I dont believe most of these people have an illness. Treatment only works if one is ready and wanting help. There should be more serious concequences while in prison, we would have less people in prison. Make the punishment fit the crime so to say. Look at some countries who have very harsh sentences they have a lot less crime. Our prisons are filled with places to work out, watch tv, library's. We spend too much time pampering the very people who harm everyone and everything. I say put a roof over their heads, well balanced but bland food, and really make the ones that are less harmful to us work hard labor. The others do harder labor like maybe in the mines or something in tight watched areas. We could then save a lot of money. They could make clothes, Paint vehicles, earn their keep rather than us pay for their keep. I dont like that prisons have a hand in the DMV. They should not have access to peoples personal information. All the counseling in the world does no good for those who dont want it. For those who do, offer it but they pay for it out of hard labor work. Each person should earn their own way all the way.

Well I suppose that sounds harsh to most people but I really believe that we'er getting soft. What about the victims? They live a life of hell why not make criminals lives hell too?

I stand my ground with the care and protection for animals. Stricter laws for animal abuse and the abuser jail and a pyschiatrist.

I cannot fathom anyone abusing an animal or another human being. Animals look to us for love and protection. People who mistreat animals should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and the lawmakers should lengthen the time spent in jail.

Abuse to innocent animals is a reflection of the mental state of the abuser who is mentally ill, chances are they been abused and needs to learn a lesson on how to respect and love themselves and apply to animals and others. Hey i don't get paid to be a pyschiatrist but the signs are obvious the individual needs therapy! Or worse according to the condition perhaps committed to a controlled asylum with round the clock medication. Solution :)

I'm seriously grateful to organisations like the Humane Society & all the work they do. Being a vegan, with a lot of 'rescue' birds & cat & other pets that needed homes, I treat all animals & wildlife equal to/if not better than humans.they are all sentient beings & give great unconditional love but can suffer from cruelty so much, the humans who commit it should have exactly the worse done to them, plus a strong dose of confusion & fear the animals also go through.
