By Annie B. Bond

If you want some styling help for your hair but don’t feel like exposing yourself to a dozen unpronounceable chemicals, this one-ingredient formula is for you. Homemade Hair Mousse is easy to make, all natural, and it works!

Here are the simple directions:

INGREDIENTS
2 egg whites

1. Beat the egg whites until they hold stiff peaks.

2. Rub into hair and allow to dry, then style.

Makes enough for one treatment.

nan, I found the flax seed hair setting recipe through a link on this very site: http://www.care2.com/greenliving/flax-seeds-body-scrub-hair-gel.html
I'd rather use flax seeds than egg whites anyways

Susan M. Hope you see this. My friend uses boiled flax seed liquid for styling gel. You have to let it cool and it turns kind of gel like. No weird smells and is kind of healthy for your hair & scalp. Might want to try looking on internet for recipe.

I'd like to know about some thing natural I could use that is not egg whites...

Yes, and I avoid using eggs after I saw "Peaceable Kingdom" and found our what they do to the poor chickens. I've heard something about using aloe vera, does anyone know this or a vegan alternative? When trying to go natural or green, we must realize that farm factories are more polluting than if we all drove Hummers. And over 70% of our meat, eggs, & dairy. If are from farm factories. If you don't know the company or the farmer & still want eggs and to try to be greener, try something like Organic Valley, Farmer's Henhouse, Or Cid's to ensure greener

Egg whites were used by the punks too, so the idea is founded in reality. Egg whites really don't smell unless they're heavily coated on the hair and start cooking in the sun.

Tammy: I think you're referring to psoriasis? Baking soda, tea tree oil, and even aspirin massaged into the scalp and then rinsed or shampooed out would help if you want to avoid using normal dandruff shampoo.

Does anyone have a remediy for Scories of the scalp?
