Buddha lived 2500 years ago. He saw much suffering and realized that suffering was a direct result of unfulfilled desires. So he sought to learn how to transcend desires of the mind, and came up with The Vipassana Meditation.
It is said that more people have reached enlightenment through Vipassana than by any other means. Here’s how:
1. Relax the body – Check in with your physicality, acknowledge it and let it go. Check in with your emotions, acknowledge them and let them go.
2. Ground, Open your Heart, connect with the 8th Chakra or Higher Self and begin to let your awareness rest in the stillness between the breaths.
3. Watch the breath &/or listen to your heart beat and merge into the stillness between the breaths. Merge with stillness between the breaths. Become one with the stillness.
4. Be still 45 minutes
Optional Exercises:
A. See how we are corded to another because of desire.
B. See what desire is behind our Fear and/or Suffering.
C. See how letting go of desire, and the other allows us to become free. – When one lets go both change.

Excellent article. I do agree that meditation, any meditation practice, is best learned from an experienced teacher.
Thanks.
I'll give it a try. Thanks Annie!!
This is not proper Vipassanna meditation. I have done a proper 10-day course on it, and my mother has done several courses. This is but the introduction and the very beginning of Vipassanna, which is observing the breath. To truly experience Vipassanna, one needs to do the course.
