Hydrating Mask for Dry Skin

A good hydrating mask for excessively dry skin includes aloe vera gel.

I find that aloe vera gel is about the most hydrating plant you can use on your skin, and it is very healing. Just pat it on. When I first did this, my
skin seemed to ask for more and more aloe vera gel for a few days, and then
applying it just once a day was sufficient. (Before using this recipe make sure to test your skin for any sensitivity to aloe vera gel.) To make the aloe more
lubricating, add about 1/4 the amount of pure vegetable glycerin.

"the amount" probable refers to the amount of aloe vera gel u r going to use. so wen using 2 tsp of that stuff, u add 1/2 tsp of pure vegetable glycerine.

I just tried this about 20 minutes ago. I have a lot of aloe vera plants around my house. I felt absolutely silly rubbing this plant all over my face. I cleaned my face with my normal cleanser, dried my face, and then applied the aloe. I just washed it off and my face had not felt this soft and healthy in such a long time. Awesome. Thanks :]

Erm... sorry, but what do you mean by "add about 1/4 the amount of pure vegetable glycerin"? What amount is "the amount"?
