If Our Pets Made Our New Year’s Resolutions

If Our Pets Made Our New Year’s Resolutions

While people have been making their own new year’s resolutions, I decided to let my dogs, Sanchez and Gina, make mine for me. Here’s what they had to say:

  • Take more walks (with us)
  • Spend more time at the piano (We love sleeping under it while you play.)
  • Take more breaks from the computer
  • Remember to play (especially with us)
  • Perform more concerts for dogs

  • Be patient with me in my senior years (from Sanchez). I’m giving you an opportunity to slow down and remember that every moment in life is a gift.

If your pets made your new year’s resolutions, what would they say? Thanks for telling us in a comment below.

1. More stroking, petting, brushing... and rough-housing.
2. More time outside, no matter what the weather is.

Move out to the southwest US for the weather, take a billion walks per day for fun, sit down on the floor with me to help me be comfortable enough to eat (weird, I know!), feed me only treats instead of healthy kibble or canned food! Entice me to play more even though I generally am not active anymore, rub my belly all the time, let me lay on you all the time and don't ever get up from the couch so that I don't have to get up! Give me pig snouts all the time since they are so yummy!

Longer massages; more play time; many, many, many more "cookies!"

Great article, our Mollie told me that she made all of our New Year's Resolutions. She has been working on human training for the five years we had her. She has been pretty successful.

Sweet. He gets lots of walks, but I feel badly that I don't have a piano for him to sleep under.

Smell the roses when you can!

Good reminders, thanks.

We grill all summer long, way too hot this summer for any cooking indoors.

Love the ears. Can't believe how much food his cheeks hold! Thanks.
